Canadian Residential School Graves Found

Recently, a thousand unmarked graves of children were found at former residential school sites in Canada.  The Catholic church, in co-operation with the government, ran these schools.  The church will not apologize for their part; nor will they release the records having to do with these burials.

It's a day of reckoning for the Canadian people.  This time we do have to pay for the sins of the fathers.  We chose not to listen when First Nations people spoke.  We ignored them.  Now comes the reckoning.

I had some feelings I had to get out when hearing the news stories, so I wrote this song called Empty Shoes.  It's just me in my space and recorded with only one microphone, but I wanted to share it.  I'd love to hear your thoughts.
